Privacy Policy
Last updated: 2 April 2026
Recyclr Solutions Ltdis committed to protecting your privacy. This policy explains what personal data we collect, why we collect it, and how we handle it. We've written it in plain English.
Who we are
The data controller for Recyclr is Recyclr Solutions Ltd, a company registered in England & Wales (company number 16492080). Our registered office is Third Floor, 1 New Fetter Lane, London EC4A 1AN. You can contact us about this policy or any data-protection matter at contact@recyclr.co.uk.
What we collect and why
When you send an enquiry
We collect your name, email address, phone number (if provided), and job details (waste type, description, and any special requirements). We use this to forward your enquiry to the carrier and to send you a confirmation email. We may also send a follow-up email to check whether you received a response.
When you claim a listing
We collect your name, email address, and phone number to verify your connection to the business. We use a magic link sent to your email to authenticate you — we do not store passwords.
When you contact us
We collect your name, email address, and message so we can respond to your query.
Automatically
We keep aggregate page-view counts per carrier per day. These counts contain no personally identifiable information.
We also use analytics tools (Google Analytics and PostHog) to understand how the site is used. These set cookies and may collect information such as your IP address, device and browser, the pages you visit, and how you interact with them. PostHog additionally records anonymised session replays to help us improve the site — form inputs and other sensitive fields are masked and are not captured, and this data is processed in the EU. We rely on legitimate interest (UK GDPR Article 6(1)(f)) for analytics; you can object at any time by contacting us.
How we source carrier information
Recyclrcompiles carrier listings from publicly available sources including the Environment Agency public register, Companies House, and Google Maps. We process this publicly available business information under the “Legitimate Interest” lawful basis (UK GDPR Article 6(1)(f)) for the purpose of connecting consumers with registered waste carriers.
Listings created from public data may not reflect current information. Details shown for unclaimed carriers are sourced from public registers and should be confirmed directly with the carrier.
Carrier operators can claim their listing at any time to take full control of the information displayed. Any carrier operator can also request corrections to or complete removal of their listing by contacting us or emailing contact@recyclr.co.uk. We action removal requests within 5 business days.
Who sees your data
If you're a waste customer
When you send an enquiry, your name, email, phone, and job details are forwarded to the carrier's contact email. The carrier replies to you directly — we do not intermediate the conversation.
If you're a waste carrier
Your business name, services, location, email address, phone number, and waste carrier licence number are publicly visible on your listing. Any quote details you send to a customer in reply to an enquiry are not visible to anyone but you and that customer.
